About

From a Ludo game in C to AI in production.

I didn’t know how to code in 2019. This is everything that happened since, in order, with the receipts.

“I observe problems, think of a solution, and code it.”

What I co-run

The timeline

9 chapters, in order.

  1. 01 · Pre-developer · 20192019 zero lines of code

I didn’t know how to code.

Freshman year of computer science with no coding background at all. What I had was gaming, curiosity and a lot of passion. That turned out to be enough to start.

  2. 02 · BSCS 1st semester · 20197 sleepless nights, one Ludo game

    The first real project.

A Ludo game in C, console-based. Seven sleepless nights and zero idea what I was doing. It worked.

  3. 03 · PHP dev · 2020PHP what can I build?

    Then something clicked.

The question changed from “what can I learn?” to “what can I build?”. So I built clones and small apps, just for fun.

    • An OG Facebook Messenger clone
    • Tic Tac Toe
    • A Yahoo scraper, and Celina, a little assistant (named after Celine <3)
    • The MAJU Event Planners website (my teacher said I stole it XD)
    • An Instagram clone
    • A Wattpad-like book store
    • A CS:GO skins marketplace
    • And, the same spring, the President’s Honor Roll at MAJU
    • PHP
    • MySQL
    • JavaScript

  4. 04 · 20218 admin modules, auto-generated

I hated repetition, so I automated it.

Instead of doing the same work twice, I wrote tools that did it for me.

    • An HTML-to-JSX converter
    • React Builder and Atom Builder
    • Python scripts that generated the whole admin for the DA SKBZ College system: Shifts, Students, Departments, Classes, Sections, Subjects, Slots and Visitors

  5. 05 · Fiverr · Apr 2021$70 first order, + a $34.70 tip

    The first earnings.

My first Fiverr order paid $70, plus a $34.70 tip. The client wrote that I dominate my work and find solutions quickly. All of it ran on a PC built with my dad’s investment, modifying a commercial PHP library. 100+ orders came after that, and Level 2 Seller.

  6. 06 · Full-stack dev · 2022–23x2 monitors, one trading desk

    Complex systems.

I moved from websites to enterprise-level, real-time apps.

    • Text-to-video without AI: human speech plus related backgrounds, end to end
    • A virtual wardrobe that matches outfits automatically, with no repeats (it later grew into Mirror Me, a Flutter + Gemini try-on app)
    • A real-time commodity trading system: dual monitors, charts, order books, a matching engine and 38+ endpoints. It was hard, though.

  7. 07 · AI & ML · 2023AI and I fell for data

    Then I met AI.

I fell in love with data and machine learning, and the projects changed shape.

    • First data project: a COVID-19 analysis of 12-13-2020.csv, also my first repo on GitHub
    • First AI project: Karachi Zameen Finder, which scraped the whole of Zameen.pk and predicts plot and flat prices
    • Photo → Mood → Music: emotion detection that builds a Spotify playlist
    • Final-year project: ChatDoc, an NLP + face recognition doctor’s assistant, funded by Ignite

  8. 08 · 2023–26MS Artificial Intelligence

    And I kept building.

Community, a degree, real production systems, and then a second degree. AI became where I settled.

    • Web Dev Lead, Google Developer Student Club @ MAJU (2022–23)
    • Seminars, competitions, Jinnah League (Tekken / FIFA) and freelancing awareness sessions
    • Graduated from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (2023), then kept mentoring juniors
    • Fiverr Level 2 Seller: 100+ orders, 80+ five-star reviews
    • Open-sourced Hitlimit (5.5M+ rate-limit checks per second on Bun) and bunWay (an Express-compatible framework for Bun) under JointOps, my open-source org
    • Started an MS in Artificial Intelligence at Bahria University (2025) and built Ask Bhittai, a RAG system over Sindhi Sufi poetry
    • Co-authored a trajectory-prediction paper for autonomous driving, now under review
    • Started KORE Tech, a mobile app startup: 14+ Flutter apps from one template, with Torqo live on Google Play
    • Shipped an LMS companion app that 118 students signed up for, plus SaaS products like BulkSmith and SiftCrawl
    • Karachi AI Meetup #24, and a lot more seminars

  9. 09 · 2026Now Full Stack AI Engineer

I’m Rehan. Full Stack AI Engineer. Researcher.

I observe problems, think of a solution and code it. Now that means document AI, reliable LLM systems and a thesis on teaching phones to say “it’s not here” for blind and low-vision users, and I build it all in public: face + code. No fancy gear, just a phone, CapCut and OBS.

How I work

Observe. Simplify. Ship.

  1. 01

    Observe a real problem

Not a tutorial idea. Something that actually annoys someone.

  2. 02

    Think of the simplest solution

The version that works this week beats the perfect one next year.

  3. 03

    Code it, ship it, iterate

Real users find the bugs I never would.

  4. 04

    Hate repetition, automate it

If I do it twice, I write a tool for the third time.

  5. 05

    Document the journey

Not just tutorials: what broke, what worked, and why.
