Modular Django apps model the whole order lifecycle as a status state machine, from placed to shipped, and automate the fulfillment steps that used to be tracked by hand.
Inventory is synchronised across modules to keep stock consistent, and dedicated REST endpoints handle third-party logistics tracking and vendor distribution.
